King K Nam

Sold Out

The first 2 pulls were entirely green in color (you can see the entire set of all the pulls here). If you've been around the block, you'll know what that means: the caliber of the wood used for distilling King K Nam was phenomenal.
The fact that it was wild Vietnamese wood... mind-blowing.

King K Nam is, to date, a combination of the highest grade and quality Vietnamese oud we have produced to date. A captivating scent profile and with a powerful mind zap quality to boot, perhaps the most fascinating feature of this oil is the fact that it combines the two most famous scent profiles Vietnam is acclaimed for: Kyara and Laterite (red soil) agarwood.

Kyara is kyara, it needs no introduction. It is not the dominant scent facet in this oil however it is strong enough to be considered a secondary / supporting aspect (white-to-yellow kyara in 'texture', red kinam in 'flavor').

As for laterite agarwood, it is the dominant profile of this oil.
Genuine soil agarwoods are almost impossible to acquire save from premium Japanese and Chinese incense houses; and even then counterfeits are quite common (Kohgen's Jinkai is a good representation of legit soil agarwood). The king of all laterite agarwood hails from Phúc Sơn (aka "Fuson" in the Chinese market); the wood for King K Nam was sourced from a jungle less than a hundred miles away, and the moment you swipe this oil you are instantly hit with the unmistakable bouquet of red soil agarwood flavors.

Marzipan overloaded with bittersweet almond and spiked with almond oil. White and green florals, together with a bright almost melon-like cooling sweet aroma, sparkly and airy à la aldehydes. Black pepper and cinnamon, almost a touch of nutmeg too. Butterscotch. Green and cooling mentholated wood, bitter ambery like roots and herbs of Chinese medicine.

At the time of release, over half the stock was already sold out.

Still haven’t words to describe this narcotics aroma …
Take the best part of Kinabang , the best part of Vietnan Spécial K, add entire fresh cream from Normandie cow, flower of salt butter from Guérande… Vaporous terpenoids from Taha skills distillation ! Sweet clay and peat married to apples and pears juice unfiltered…
Like RMyanma I smell sweet candy vibe 15 minutes after the opening… I can feel the taste of the sweetness in my mouth after sniffing this Drug …
I am shocked about this oil …
I love it over Kinabang, over VSK even if I still love these oils…
King K Nam has something similar to AA Royal Myanma in terms of grade and precision, it hit the top of my nostrils… it’s pure, clean and clear like the Fidji mineral water… the only other oil that remind me this pristine note and even more precise note is Emperor of China from Marius … I don’t do comparisons here cuz the profile are very different but both have This marvelous refined aura including Royal myanma .
You get lots of information in your nose that give you immediately mind Buzzing, Brain numbing, mouth watering…
when you put your hand to your nose, you definitely don’t want to separate this beautiful connection to your mind, and keep this strange position (hand just under your nose) ^^
This is a shower of the soul!

KKN is multi faces … today this oil sharing me the VSK shadow with a kinamic milky cream of vanilla with a vaporous diesel note very clean and buttery… blue berries and nuts, wild strawberries and almonds… light Ambregris … this is ZEN in a bottle !
this oil is so fresh, the aging will be unbelievable ! Taha made a Monster here …

This oil will be a legendary one in my books…
I tried some other Vietnamese oil samples from other vendors in the same price range as KKN.. I gotta say.. Those are almost child's play compared to KKN.
Took a swipe... Oh my lord..
Such a complex oil too, so many facets, so dynamic..
